Unless you don’t pay attention, you’d know that I am a huge WWE fan…….HUGE WWE FAN!!!! In fact WWE >>>> TNA, WCW, MLB, NHL, AIG, GOP and STD’s. Eventhough, I love the entertainment, I catch a lot of hell from my fellow WWE fans due to my utter disdain for one certain, former superstar, Dwayne Johnson f.k.a. THE ROCK!!!!
Let’s rewind the clock back to 1996. How many of you cared about Dwayne Johnson, or at the time, Rocky Maivia?…………………………………………………….(crickets)………………………..
Exactly. Nobody. The only people that paid attention to him was the WWE Universe, and at the time his name wasn’t big so only half of us cared. I ,however, paid attention. Now fast forward just a tad….we’re here at the stage of The Nation of Domination, The Rock, the $500 shirts, the heel gimic which he played perfectly!! He’s slowly becoming the man!!! Fast forward a little more, The People’s Champ, The People’s Elbow, The People’s Eyebrow, THE PEOPLE HAVE EMBRACED YOU!!! You’re The Rock because the people made you The Rock….but what does he do? He turns his back on the people so he can become The Tooth Fairy.
Basically what I’m saying is that WE (the WWE Universe) made The Rock who The Rock is today. WE did that. Remember this Dwayne…. (crowd chants) Rocky, Rocky, Rocky, Rocky…….where’s the thanks back to the people? Where’s the gratitude? Is it too much to make an in-ring appearance and show THE PEOPLE that you appreciate them? He never did this. Name one wrestler that went Hollywood and never came back to the ring just to show they still have love for the people?………………………………………………….Exactly. Until Dwayne can come out of Disney Land and show his face, in-ring, in WWE Universe, I will have a disdain for him………….if you smell what I’m cooking.
Don’t knock the hustle baby!! You hating on his genius to turn his brand into a franchise…and no matter what you say the fans would welcome him back to the ring anytime–with open arms! Don’t front like you didn’t want to be the rock when you grew up…Heights/Mr. Manion’s chemistry class “do you smeeelllllll *insert tongue flip* what the ROCK is cookin’?”!!!
I was a huge Rock fan!!! I’d welcome him of course. He just needs to take the first step and give the fans the gratitude they deserve.
*sidenote* I think doing that tongue flip is why we ended up getting married.
I hear ya bro, but Cena and the boys wish they could make ROCK money, I would love to see Rock come back and face Cena at WM or even go to TNA and face Anderson. However it just aint gonna happen, he got hooked up with Disney and is making DISNEY MONEY, which Vince can be afraid of sneezes all he wants{They can not be controlled and so can’t The ROCK!}
The Rock gave us 7 great years. He left on HIS term for an oppurtunity to make more money and less wear and tear on his body. Basically, he got a better gig…. I aint mad at him.
